Our New Business Team serves as a central unit, supporting our lawyers and Business Development team in efforts to win new work and grow Proskauer’s client base. The New Business Team presents best practice techniques, coordinates cross-practice initiatives, oversees high-value proposals, and reports on trends and successes. We are looking to hire a candidate with a couple of years of work experience who is interested in learning about how a leading law firm presents its capabilities to industry and business leaders, elevates marketing materials, and grows our brand.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Project manage internal reports on New Business efforts, including the weekly internal newsletter.
  • Support the management of the firmwide pitch and RFP tracking system, including logging new business opportunities and outcomes, following up with business development team on the status of open opportunities, and correctly tagging pitch information in the system.
  • Draft pitches and RFPs, execute line edits, and provide editorial support.
  • Maintain business development content in the experience management database for use in RFPs and pitches.
  • Coordinate the planning associated with RFP responses, including scheduling meetings, handling follow up with lawyers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring all deadlines and specifications are met.
  • Assist with miscellaneous requests for information from internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Other duties as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business development, communications, or marketing role in a law or professional services firm.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize, plan ahead and offer solutions.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic collaborator, high degree of drive and personal initiative.
  • Strong writing, communication and organizational skills with a high level of creativity.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality control.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with Foundation, Vuture, Capital IQ, and Monitor Suite is a plus.



This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
