Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking an Electrical & Electronics Engineer with an understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and EW threat simulators to join our team in the Laboratories at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu in Southern California!

The successful candidate will work in this beautiful coastal location between Malibu and Santa Barbara at the Naval Base Ventura County, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, and on one of many projects across multiple areas: Electronic Warfare Integrated Laboratories, Airborne Electronic Attack, or Multi-Spectral Defense. Experience in both active and passive RF systems is required. This position is 100% on-site at NAS Point Mugu, CA.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with teams doing research, design, development, and testing on and with EW electronic equipment, components, and systems for military or scientific use. Potential for some manufacturing and installation of new equipment.
  • Integration and testing for electronic product development, and/or reprogramming of fielded systems, and ability to generate and/or modify test plans and procedures for these products and systems.
  • Verify viability of testing results and investigate problems identified from testing results to find possible root causes related to test equipment, integration of the unit under test, and/or test procedures
  • Test systems and products, potentially down to the component level
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Document accurate and concise status reports and findings
  • Solve Test equipment operating problems and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects
  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have an active DoD issued Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD issued Top Secret Clearance
  • Master’sdegree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics
  • Experience with Custom H/W design and Printed Circuit Boards
  • Familiarity with the following RF Test Bench simulation systems: AMES, NEWEG, A2PATS, UXG
  • Familiarity with Mission Data Programming for the F/A-18, EA-18G, and JSF
  • Familiarity with Sensor Engineering for the ALR-67, ALQ-218, and ASQ-239 EW systems
  • Effective interface with senior-level leaders, end users, analysts, and contractor and customer personnel in a diverse team setting
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) DevSecOps (Development, Security, and Operations), MBSE (model Based Systems Engineering) methodologies
The compensation range for this position: $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
