Act as the engineering representative for live events in front of internal and external clients and business partners to ensure the success and maximize the quality of the contribution.
Anticipate, react to, and resolve technical and operational issues with urgency.
Supervision of operations and technical preparation of global class live events.
Review, triage and investigative problems (root cause analysis).
Help improve processes.
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, routine and preventive maintenance of broadcast and other technical equipment in a digital/analog broadcast and post-production facility.
Create and maintain documentation, rack equipment, run cabling, program devices, engage with middle management to discuss and plan solutions to business initiatives, and provide operational support where needed. Monitor, analyze, and solve problems related to IP services and media streaming. Troubleshoot Ethernet and IP transport systems.
Produce, compile, update, and engineering documentation
Experience with streaming media including live streaming protocols such as RTMP, HLS, and MPEG-DASH.
Ability to work well in a live broadcast team environment, under strict time deadlines. Last minute changes are the norm.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in broadcast environment with strong understanding of the television production and distribution workflows.
Minimum 3 years of Technical experience in the following technologies:
