Position Overview: Omnicom Media Group is seeking a talented and experienced Design Director to join our Growth, Brand, and Experience team. The Design Director will act as a crucial intermediary between the Design Leads and the Global Head of Brand Experience, ensuring the highest quality of design output and seamless project execution. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong design background, exceptional creative skills, and the ability to inspire and guide a team towards innovative and effective design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Design Leads, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Work closely with the Global Head of Brand Experience to align design strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to Design Leads, ensuring their professional growth and development.
  • Design Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement design strategies that enhance brand experience and drive engagement across all media platforms.
    • Oversee the conceptualization and execution of high-quality design projects, from initial ideation to final delivery.
    • Ensure all design work aligns with brand guidelines and meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.
    • The ability to be the design lead on Growth opportunities across the globe, providing design support onsite while working with Executive leadership
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand and growth, to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions.
    • Communicate design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, effectively presenting ideas and justifying design decisions.
    • Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and translating them into compelling design solutions.
  • Innovation and Trends:
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design and brand experience.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve design processes and outputs.
    • Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate new ideas and inspire the design team.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work and successful projects.
  • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other Office365 programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of branding, marketing, and the digital landscape.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for design excellence.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$130,000—$165,000 USD
