Western New York Perinatal Bereavement Network, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing perinatal death, including miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death. Our mission is to assist the community in meeting the needs of people experiencing such loss. We provide compassionate support, resources, and education to help individuals navigate their grief journey.

Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a Board Member at Western New York Perinatal Bereavement Network, Inc. The Board Member will be responsible for participating in board meetings and decision-making, contributing to the organization's strategic planning, assisting with fundraising efforts, and supporting the organization's mission and goals. This is a hybrid role, with the board meetings and most activities taking place in the Cheektowaga, NY area. Some board meetings may be virtual.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in the field of perinatal bereavement preferred
• Previous experience serving on a board or in a leadership role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
• Passion for supporting individuals and families facing perinatal loss
• Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
• Experience in fundraising or grant writing is a plus
• Availability to attend board meetings and participate in organization activities
