The Business Analyst, Data Engineering will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions for the client. The Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements for data engineers and interface engineers, translating these requirements into user stories, and supporting the testing and quality assurance processes. The Analyst will contribute to the successful delivery of data engineering projects by ensuring clear communication, well-defined requirements, and effective testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document data engineering and interface requirements
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Interface Engineers to translate business needs into detailed user stories and technical specifications
• Create and maintain documentation for data engineering and interface projects, including requirement documents and process flows
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and validate requirements with cross-functional teams
• Utilize tools such as JIRA to manage and prioritize user stories, ensuring alignment with project timelines
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the data engineering team, providing clear communication, and managing expectations
• Assist in the testing and quality assurance processes, including test planning, test case development, and coordination of testing activities
• Collaborate with the quality assurance teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
• Participate in the resolution of issues and defects identified during testing phases
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and recommendations based on project experiences
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within data engineering or related domains
• Healthcare experience, specifically, being familiar with provider and some payor language/nomenclature
• Experience in writing user stories and managing requirements using JIRA or similar tools
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties
• Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings with diverse stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality documentation
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools
  
  

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
