- Immediate leadership position working underneath the Partners|Reputable Design/Build General Contractor - great name in the market
- Small to Medium sized high-quality design-build General Contractor.
- Steadily between $40M-50M per year.
- Established, been around for several decades.
- Design-build, have small staff of architects.
- Do carpentry and concrete (can self-perform), outsource any civil work.
- Projects include corporate offices, warehouses and manufacturing facilities, several banks, municipal buildings, historical buildings, special projects, light commercial and smaller healthcare.
- Average project size is in between $1M - $10M.
- Little to no turnover - very family oriented business.
- Excellent office location and surrounding area.
- Fantastic company and office culture.
- Provide leadership by using excellent verbal and written communication to manage the owner/client, architect and consultants, as well as, the project team in all phases of the work (includes developing and motivating teamwork between all parties).
- Cost estimating and creating detailed estimates and budget break downs.
- Phasing/site logistics planning.
- Bid strategy development.
- Negotiate modifications with owners, architects and subcontractors through effective contract management and thorough knowledge of contract law.
- Effectively lead meetings to ensure the company's interests are protected while promoting relationship based service to our clients and designers.
- Train and mentor other staff members in specific skill sets and company process.
- Solicitation of subcontractor bids and coordination of plan distribution to ensure bid coverage.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or one of that sorts).
- True leadership experience (managing teams, performing annual reviews, client management, goal setting and achieving).
- Not job hoppy.
- Someone who is internally motivated to grow a company and lead initiatives.
- Estimating experience.
- Have experience with Cost+, negotiated work, MS Project and Procore.
- Experience with CPM scheduling and planning.
- Experience with larger projects up to $50M.
- Experience bridging gap between Preconstruction and Operations.
- Multi-family, light industrial or Education/Municipal experience.
- Preferably local, relocation is not out of the question.
- Currently an SPM or PX.
- Has ability to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc (smaller scale) but does not need to be able to bid projects from scratch.
- Base salary up to $175K based upon experience
- Both personal and company bonuses
