We are currently looking for a Bilingual Advisor, Talent Acquisition (TA) to play a key role in supporting the full lifecycle of recruitment activities for Montreal and international offices, including campus recruitment. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will collaborate in the development of comprehensive recruiting strategy, sourcing top-tier talent, and building a robust and diverse pipeline to meet both current and future needs. Leveraging technologies, you will be responsible for assessing and tracking candidates, relationship management, and full recruitment process to successful onboarding. To promote the maritime industry and Fednav’s employment opportunities, you will be actively involved in planning and participating to on-campus and career fair events and assist with social media communications and branding.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

Manage Recruitment Cycle

  • For assigned roles, collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies that align with the company's goals and values.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods such as job boards, social media, networking, and industry events to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Proactively source, build and maintain a diverse talent pipeline for current and future openings.
  • Participate to the enhancement of the company's employer brand by creating compelling job postings, assisting with Career Site content, and fostering positive interactions with candidates.
  • Assist with the creation of internal communication to promote vacant positions, new hires and promotions.

Candidate Experience

  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience from initial contact through the entire recruitment process.
  • Provide timely communication, feedback, and updates to candidates.
  • When applicable, consider candidates for different positions based on their skills and qualifications.

Compliance and Diversity

  • Ensure adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations while promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the recruitment process.

Continuous Improvement / Technology

  • Participate in the various projects leading to the enhancement of our technology, including with Workday ATS.
  • Support the adoption of Workday in the talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
  • Assist with monitoring of new Workday release and features and assess whether they would bring benefits to Fednav.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging recruitment technologies and participate to improve the talent acquisition tools, including Workday Recruitment module and Career portal.

Onboarding

  • Complete full cycle onboarding for new hires and coordinate with various departments and hiring managers to ensure all necessary equipment, access, and resources are ready for new hires on their start date.
  • Promote the Company's culture through onboarding presentation and act as a resource for new hires, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing guidance during the initial onboarding period.
  • Participate in the revamp of our Onboarding Program, leveraging the automation in Workday in collaboration with IT and other service departments.

WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience is required; degree in business administration or human resources is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct recruitment experience, either on the agency side or corporate for professional roles.
  • Experience with Campus recruitment
  • Experience sourcing through social media methods including Indeed, LinkedIn, and other industry specific networking sites.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of talent acquisition software (ATS), Workday is a preferred asset.
  • Experience direct sourcing and developing a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of internal clients and external candidates.
  • Proactive and able to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with psychometric and personality assessment tools, a preferred asset
  • * Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both French and English
