Responsibilities

The Organizational Design and Development Advisor will serve in a high-visibility role, applying an in-depth consultative approach with business leaders and HR to help lead global transformation through organizational design, organizational development, and organizational change management, positively impacting business results.

About The Role

  • Facilitate org design and redesign work on the enterprise or business unit level
  • Partner with senior leaders around the organization to assess business and talent needs, assess macro talent trends, and use data to drive organizational design and development
  • Partner across HR to develop innovative organizational development and organizational change strategies and processes that meet current and future talent needs such as workforce planning, succession planning, change management and organization design
  • Serve as a change agent and provide in-depth consultation for enterprise-wide and/or complex talent management efforts. Chooses appropriate metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of talent solutions and reports findings to key stakeholders. Uses information to adjust techniques for future engagements of similar nature and scope
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis and create compelling business cases for talent efforts and priorities.
  • Conducts leadership coaching for multiple levels of management as a component of comprehensive development plans
  • Facilitates strategic planning meetings for various levels of the leadership team and various business units
  • Provide expertise on talent systems, dashboards and data/analytics resources in order to drive progressive organizational effectiveness efforts organization wide.

Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • You possess expert knowledge and expertise of overall Org Development and Talent Management best practices; Program development and project management experience including program/project planning, training facilitation, managing multiples resources, timelines, milestones and objectives
  • You have knowledge and background in organizational design, organizational change management, organizational development, strategy alignment, complex problem solving, team and human dynamics
  • You have understanding of innovative hi-potential and succession development strategies, leadership development, adult learning theories, content development, talent management, and succession planning.
  • You are self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior leaders and HR across the organization.
  • You can own end-to-end design, management, implementation, and measurement of talent interventions and projects using functional knowledge and application in designing for both specific group and org-wide solutions.
  • You are able to fluidly move between designing, facilitating highly complex talent solutions with ability to dive deep in the details for thorough research, discovery, benchmarking or implementation.
  • You are an experienced organizational design practitioner with the ability to quickly analyze and identify barriers/enablers to workplace performance and focus investment on individual and/or team initiatives and activities that drive enablers, and produce business outcomes of value.
  • You can work effectively in a matrixed environment, thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment and possess an exceptionally high ability to collaborate with others, navigate ambiguity, and influence up, down, and across as a team member in a matrixed organization.
  • You are able to build partnerships quickly and effectively with business leaders, build trusted relationships with stakeholders to understand relevant business needs
  • You have expert knowledge of adult education principals, practices, and techniques
  • You can lead initial interactions with business stakeholders, assess the situation, and align on the talent solution approach(s)
  • You can act as a positive agent of change and consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; requires the ability to adjust and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • You have excellent decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound judgments and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7+ years of professional work experience in Training and Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Organizational Change Management or Organizational Design with a preferred emphasis in leadership development and coaching required
  • 7+ years Proven success in working on and delivering multiple initiatives to business leaders required
  • Hi-potential and/or succession development experience required

Licenses

  • Professional training certifications (ie EQ-i 20, etc) preferred
