Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Summary of Role:

The Chief Compliance Officer will ensure development, implementation, and oversight of the organization's compliance program in order to solve problems, drive results, initiate solutions, and make a significant impact on the organization’s success.


Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Program Development and Management:

Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance program.

Develop and update compliance policies and procedures.

Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.


Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and ensure the telehealth program's policies are updated accordingly.

Oversee the telehealth program’s adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.

Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.


Training and Education:

Develop and conduct compliance training programs for staff.

Educate employees on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.


Incident Management:

Investigate and respond to compliance issues and complaints.

Develop corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of compliance-related issues.

Maintain records of all compliance incidents and actions taken.


Reporting and Communication:

Prepare regular reports on the status of the compliance program for senior management and the board of directors.

Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related matters.

Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field (Juris Doctor preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a compliance role within the healthcare industry, with at least 5 years as a Chief Compliance Officer in a Telehealth Services setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant laws.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent preferred.
