- A "Day in the Life" of the Director of Sales
Overview of Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of seasoned sales representatives, providing guidance, motivation, and support
- Conduct regular one-on-one debriefs with team members to review performance and provide coaching
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive sales performance and achieve targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to grow market share and revenue
- Create and execute sourcing plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
- Represent the company at industry events and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in service or facility-related industries
- Proven track record in managing and directing a highly skilled sales team
- Experience leading a team of 7 or more direct reports
- Strong sales leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management
- Ability to handle deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for a servant leader approach to sales leadership
- Experience with CRM systems and sales performance management tools
