Job Description
We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Director of Sales to drive our growth in better department stores, sporting goods stores, and high-end sneaker stores, showcasing our unique blend of Court-to-Street apparel.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, excellent presentation and influencing skills
- In-depth experience in Athletic Channel: Dick’s, Academy, Hibbett Sports etc.; with the Department Store Channel: Macy’s etc.; with the Athletic Specialty Channel : Champs, Footlocker, FL etc.
- Self-motivated team leader with strong passion for growth
- Ability to establish sales plans, implement, drive execution, and gain results
- Highly results oriented, driven, analytical, organized, and detail oriented with excellent creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Efficient with time and resources management – ability to juggle multiple projects
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of a startup
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and communication with all stakeholders, internal and external
- Organized, creative, and passionate about apparel and consumer behavior
- Willing to travel
- Required to be In the Los Angeles office
- 5+ years of work experience in sales account management in the apparel industry
- Education: 4-year college degree preferred
- This role is located in the Los Angeles area
Benefits

Responsibilities
- The Apparel Sales Director will be directly responsible for defining and leading the sales objective and strategies within the margin goals for accounts such as Macys, Kohls, and for developing relationships with accounts and prospects to insure we successfully expand distribution and merchandising presence within the wholesale channel
- A requirement for this role the candidate should already have a working relationship with major retailers in the club and discount channel
- Develop annual and quarterly sales plans, strategies, and implementation steps
- Achieving sales target budget, profit, and managing of trade funding
- Accountable for sales of existing and new items, category reviews, promotional planning, sales goals, budget adherence, and execution of sales & marketing initiatives
- Development of existing and obtaining new business accounts
- Manage to drive key account and regional market development
- Identify brand/category development opportunities, communicate, and resolve account issues/solutions through sales/marketing & broker teams
- Develop, implement, and monitor retail pricing, competition, distribution, shelving, and promotional strategies
- Meet forecasted sales goals, ensure company profitability goals, and spend within budget
- Sales forecasting responsibilities for yearly budget and long-range plans, and monitoring of forecast against actual results
- Work closely with Operations/Logistics to adjust monthly production forecast for promotions, new item distribution, and other market dynamics that will impact demand planning
- Utilizing your existing contacts, prospect for new business to ensure opportunity for incremental sales in new channels of distribution are met
- Interact with top management at accounts and prospects weekly developing and growing strategic relationships
- Management & Communications
- Oversee and conduct sales portion of regular company management meetings, review monthly and year to date variances in results
- Work with Team & Accounting to run reports needed to measure business performance
- Work closely with Operations to ensure proper and accurate forecasting, production, and shipping occurring with customers
