We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to provide technical assistance to computer system users. Design, implement, and support software and servers, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 products, servers, virtualization, and backups. Create custom applications for helpdesk ITSM platform supporting the best practices of ITIL. Provide Tier 2 systems support for Helpdesk and overflow for Computer Support Specialist position. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Verify proper operation of software systems, virtualization, and backups.
Provide tier 2 support for software systems both cloud and on prem.
Participate in security and incident response escalation.
Provide license monitoring and usage.
Install and perform escalated repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, including hardware or software troubleshooting.
Follow best practices of cGMP processes for validated systems.
Participate in validation of computer systems for GMP functions.
Be available on call for afterhours support of software and hardware systems.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
Update training documentation and system procedure documentation.
Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.
Provide support and system roll out of Single Sign On for various existing systems, using SAML of OAuth
Help lead systems rollout of following change management such as Enterprise Password Management, Mobile Device Management, hybridization, and system version upgrades of smaller cloud-based systems.
Be familiar with remote management tools (Intune, and Goverlan preferred)
Strong knowledge and development experience in Helpdesk Ticketing Systems ITSM (Zendesk preferred)
Strong knowledge of M365, Defender 365, Office 365, Windows 10 and 11 and various desktop software packages
Windows Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Network and Print Services
License and Asset Management Software (Intune)
Desktop imaging and file restore tools (Veeam)
Backup and restoration testing for audit and compliance (Veeam)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING:
Bachelors Information Technology, or engineering equivalent, degree deferred in lieu of experience.
Technical Certifications in ITIL, or other ITSM, M365 Administration, Azure Administration, CISSP, CISM, CET, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated project management IT experience.
6 or more years of related job experience preferred
