Summary

The position of Online Banking Manager requires knowledge of both bank operations and technology. Extensive knowledge of personal computers and mobile devices is necessary for all aspects of the position. This is a primary customer service contact that requires very good communication skills both in-person and over the phone with businesses and consumers. Employee has a general knowledge of ACH, fraud trends and risk mitigation.

Duties will be performed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Essential Duties

  • Process new Internet Banking applications following the appropriate procedures to ensure customer identity.
  • Unlock disabled Internet Banking accounts after verifying customer identity.
  • Responsible for the management of the Bank’s Bill Pay product and assisting customers with Bill Pay issues.
  • Monitor and retain daily reports for unusual login or transaction activity.
  • Process E-statement requests by performing statement cycle maintenance on the Core system.
  • Responsible for taking the lead on or participating in special projects related to Internet Banking, the Bank’s Web site, Bill Pay and any other areas that the position backs-up or assists with.
  • Keeps informed of current and new technology developments and how they may benefit or affect the bank.
  • Maintain contacts for all vendors in the event of product issues or projects.
  • Administration of Consumer & Commercial Online & Mobile Banking services.
  • Perform as back-up for all Treasury Management department tasks: Prepare agreements and set up new customers; Conduct annual training for originators on trending fraud and keeping their information secure; Perform annual risk assessments on each commercial customer; Monitor daily ACH transactions for unusual behavior or “red flags”.
  • Validate and release pended, warehoused ACH transactions based on daily activity.
  • Monitor online secure messaging, answering general questions and forwarding messages to the appropriate department.
  • Responsible for management of Digital One Online Account opening through the Bank’s Web site: Reviews account opening requests in a timely manner; Follows-up with applicants and obtains all required information as defined by Bank policy; Processes rejections or successful new accounts.
  • Monitors and reviews mobile deposits received through mobile banking, determining acceptance or rejection of deposits based on Bank policy.
  • Manage Commercial Capture product service and customer support issues.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and daily management of Online Banking Representatives.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

SECONDARY DUTIES

The position of Online Banking Manager performs duties specific to the position as well as back-up for wire transfer verifications, the Call Center and other functions as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The position of Online Banking Manager has supervisory responsibility of the Online Banking Representatives.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The employee is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle approximately 5% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

Occasional travel may be required to attend in-state and potentially out-of-state training or conferences.

The employee in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

The employee for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, beeper, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, microfilm equipment, encoder, money counter, credit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, personal computer and related printers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in the operations or deposits field.
  • Moderate experience, knowledge and training in basic computer skills, terminology and products and services.
  • Moderate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank policies.
  • Moderate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
  • Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Basic math skills; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with routine problems.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
  • Current Arkansas driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
