Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
- Establishes effective communications to maintain a constant flow of information downward, upward, and laterally, and establishes an atmosphere that ensures a favorable gaming experience for players. Manages internal expectations to include but not limited to technical engineering direction on projects for feasibility, specifications, systems analysis, design reviews, construction, budget schedule, quality control processes, commissioning, and documentation for continued operations on all facilities.
- Performs daily walk-throughs (interior and exterior) of casino property identifying, addressing, and correcting deficiencies to ensure standards are maintained in facility maintenance and appearance.
- Manages the day-to-day maintenance operation of the property to develop an environment that creates an exciting fantasy world of fun, chance, and possibility for our guests and team members
- Adhere to, and enforces, policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, internal controls, Company policies and procedures, and organizational goals
- Models, promotes, monitors and assures workplace safety throughout the property
- Supervises Supervisors with executive and administrative direction and control to maintain reliability, functionality, and efficiency of built environment
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all construction and special projects performed with in-house forces and/or outside contractors
- Ensures procurement guidelines are followed in the sourcing of goods or services
- Ensures that proper maintenance practices are followed on key operating equipment of the facility and schedules the timing of maintenance or upgrade work with the appropriate internal and external resources.
- Assists with property needs analysis and makes recommendations for corrective measures.
- Coordinates contractor work for maintenance projects and other renovation needs.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Directly supervises multiple management and supervisory staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Skills/ Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities, Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Eight (8) years of facilities management experience preferably within a hospitality environment supporting 150,000 sq ft or more.
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible supervisory and management experience.
- Five (5) years of successful experience as a supervisor or manager, caring for a multi-building commercial (not residential) property and experience operating chiller plants. In this context, cared for means that candidate has had direct responsibilities and demonstrated success with maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and life safety systems- required
- Three (3) years of successful experience with 4000 amp or greater electrical service in a 24/7 environment that also incorporates UPS systems for key activities (IT room) and a back-up generator for the rest of the facility- required
- Record of successful supervision of front-line Technicians for at least five (5) years- required
- Record of successfully supervising or managing a department or business function with increasing administrative responsibilities as measured by meeting budget responsibilities, hiring and maintaining proper staffing levels, ensures staff is trained and qualified in their areas of expertise- required
- Record of success in meeting objectives through directing the work of subordinates- required
- Record of timely completion of projects and work with increasing responsibilities for outcomes in time frames of multiple quarters up to a single fiscal year- required
- Demonstrated capability in learning and applying knowledge in an automated environment. Desirable: has objectively demonstrated Journeyman or Master-level competence in a trade employed in the built environment- required
- Facilities Management certification preferred
- Must possess excellent guest service skills and be a self-starter with the ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision
- Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office Suite Software and Enterprise-specific programs.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must have a valid and clean driving record
