About The Team

Noah Medical is looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join a small and agile team of ambitious engineers solving some of the hardest challenges in medical technology today to enable the next generation of robotically assisted medical interventions. The intern will be working closely with robotics team members in developing software for the robotic platform. A successful candidate would propose design solutions that adhere to specifications, challenge assumptions, and demonstrate independence as they contribute software within multiple platforms. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys and thrives working in a small start-up team on exciting engineering projects and is ambitious, self-motivated, curious, and passionate about revolutionizing the world of medical robotics.

A Day In The Life Of Software Engineer Intern, Research & Innovation:

  • Integrating input devices (gamepads, 3D haptic devices).
  • Integrating sensors. (cameras, load cells, IMUs)
  • Implementing a filter class/library. (In cooperation with control engineers)
  • Developing a 3D robot visualization/simulator.
  • Perform debugging and root cause analysis for complex SW and HW integration problems.
  • System testing, data collection, parsing, and analysis for complex robotic systems.

About You

  • Enrolled in B.S, M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced start-up with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping algorithms in Python and C++
  • Familiar with unit tests.

Pay Transparency

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.

California Pay Range

$24—$40 USD

Noah Medical may offer remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements within the state of California depending on the specific team and/or role where applicable.
