THE ROLE:

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Author, update, and ratify Test plans (including the use of tools and automation) for areas owned on the project, defining what needs to be tested and how to test it.
  • Review the Test plans of teammates, providing feedback, and ensuring to identify the gaps in project test coverage and remove the redundancies.
  • Partner with Discipline peers on the project team and QA management to influence best practices, decisions, and enact necessary changes utilizing collected data or observed, measurable trends.
  • Define and refine acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for owned area features and future releases.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to planning and prioritizing, basing decisions on patterns, similar cases or unique factors of the project or service.
  • Review, measure, and recommend adjustments or improvements across processes, workflows, and applied methodologies.
  • Root cause reported defects and other internal issues - including debugging, parsing logs, and using advanced tooling.
  • Utilize necessary data for owned areas, report and apply the data to improve team workflow, health, and ultimately the overall project quality.
  • Employ manual, automated, and technical testing skills across owned areas to measure and report project quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of software testing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Python.
  • Scripting/coding experience to bolster applicable automation suites for owned areas (focusing on Blueprint and Daedalic plugin in UE5).
  • Understand Quality Assurance techniques, testing, & automation frameworks and various test methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge utilizing common QA tools: Visual Studio, Perforce, JIRA, Confluence, Test Case Management software, Crash aggregators, and equivalents.
  • Experience working with and in Game Engines (Unreal Engine 4 or 5, etc.), or 3D Software toolsets, Backend servers and APIs (RallyHere, Multiplay, etc.), and/or Games as a Service development.
  • Excellent communication skills, unafraid to ask questions and to improve communication.
  • Ability to form and enhance productive internal/external working relationships and forge networks with key contacts.
  • Familiarity with popular console platforms, related peripherals, PC Software/hardware.

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-exempt position.
  • The full salary range for this position is $66,000 - $93,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay and internal equity.
  • In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
