Job Description
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Testing Engineer to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our client, a leading manufacturer of medical devices, including implants, instruments, and impactions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the testing lifecycle for medical device products.
Generate 1 to 2 comprehensive reports per month.
Coordinate with internal teams to prepare for tests by discussing protocols.
Liaise with project members to receive specimens for testing and conduct thorough analysis.
Maintain meticulous documentation throughout the testing process, including photographs and data collection.
Utilize Minitab for data analysis and report creation.
Present findings in a clear and concise report format to stakeholders.
Collaborate with report requesters to integrate feedback and refine testing protocols.
Required Skills & Experience
At least 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Testing Engineer.
At least 3 years of experience with MTS or Instron.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical testing procedures and lifecycle management.
Proficient in data analysis software, specifically Minitab.
Excellent communication skills for effective internal coordination and protocol discussion.
Emphasis on accurate documentation practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with machine tooling.
Strong statistical skills (e.g., T-tests).
Experience with Digital Imaging Correlation.
Medical device background.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
