Purpose of Role: The Night-Shift Manufacturing Manager ensures compliance with all safety, health and environmental (SHE) rules and regulations; executes safety, quality, and production targets using continuous improvement, process management and systematic problem solving to uncover issues and drive improvement throughout manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workload Planning and Night-Shift Operations: Plan, schedule, and review workload to ensure cost-effective target achievement. Lead night-shift leaders and manage all plant operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely completion of production schedules.
  • Training, Development, and Succession Planning: Improve the abilities, skills, and knowledge of production personnel through appropriate instruction and training. Develop direct reports and build technical skills in line with succession planning initiatives.
  • Quality, Customer Commitments, and Lean Tools Application: Ensure individual and department performance supports quality standards and customer commitments. Support organizational capability in the application of lean tools, including 6S, Process Management, TPMs, standardized work, and rapid cycle improvements.
  • Behavioral Change and Cultural Transformation: Drive cultural and behavioral changes throughout the site to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Effective Communication: Establish and maintain effective communications with site management, peers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Safety First : Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture developing a world class safety culture. Ensure a safe working environment for all stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and vendors.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in related operations, heavy equipment manufacturing or Foundry Operations.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing direct reports including hiring, developing/coaching, and building technical capabilities to ensure Company’s succession planning initiatives are met.
  • Strong systematic problem solving and analytical capabilities, including ability to perform financial analysis.
  • Positive and effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • High energy and highly self-motivated with strong external and internal customer focus.
  • Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Working Environment: 70% Foundry Environment, 30% Office
