Job Summary

The Associate Director, Integrated Media Planning (ADIMP), is responsible for the strategic development and execution of integrated media campaigns with current clients, as well as the management/oversight of the media planning, buying, implementation, and performance analysis for their campaigns. This is a strategic and executional role, reporting to the SVP, Integrated Media, and working closely with the extended Integrated Media team and designated Client Leaders. The ADIMP is expected to continuously challenge themself, their client(s) & agency counterparts to unite to develop relevant, original, and impactful media strategies and test & learn opportunities that span the full spectrum of media. The ADIMP is also expected to participate in new business proposals for prospective Blue Chip clients. This role may have other junior members of the Integrated Planning team that directly report to them.

• Demonstrates the mission, vision, values, and culture principles of BC Worldwide

• Partners with the SVPIM to improve process, collaboration, and performance for overall integrated media planning and buying within the Integrated Media team

• Manages the day-to-day strategic media planning activities for assigned account(s) with minimum oversight from the SVPIM.

• Collaborates with the Integrated Media team and agency cross-functional teams on the development of integrated media campaign strategies and tactical considerations for clients, and be able to speak to the unique ways different media strategies and tactics work within a campaign structure

• Uncovers / understands client objectives, challenges and needs as it pertains to all media

• Responsible for integrated media brief co-development with a channel-agnostic lens, strategic approach, engaging media partners, proposal evaluation & negotiation, media recommendation development, and presentation to clients

• Responsible for campaign oversight; inclusive of, but not limited to regularly reviewing performance with analytics team, optimizations, implications, tracking of the budget and media spends & ensuring proper billing

• Maintains a strong knowledge of the changing media landscape by networking, meeting with and building relationships with new vendor / partners, etc.; understanding the benefits between working with different vendors and be able to clearly provide strategic rationale for all vendor recommendations

• Be able to clearly and confidently speak to the intricacies of programmatic, paid social, attribution, strategic rationale and the media landscape as a whole (communicate to clients and agency counterparts)

• Develops & shares media POV’s as needed (both internally & client facing)

• Participates in new business development proposals as the digital media strategy SME

• Participates in the development of thought leadership for the agency

• Must be able to travel occasionally overnight and on weekends

• Complies with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures

• Responsible for maintaining up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy

• Based on client and internal project demands, additional duties may be assigned


Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Certifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred

• 7+ years of relevant media experience required

• Demonstrated knowledge of digital media and analytics

• Demonstrated experience with shopper marketing

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of digital disciplines including, but not limited to display, online video, CTV, rich media, programmatic, social media, influencer media, SEM, digital coupons, ad operations etc.

• Developing knowledge of offline media channels

• In-Depth understanding of media planning, negotiation, implementation, and performance analysis

• Experience writing and selling in proposals/plans for digital marketing efforts
