Senior Property Underwriter, Large Accounts

Salary to $175K

Our client is a medium sized but growing insurance firm, who are now looking for an experienced underwriter for their Houston office.

Duties Include:

• Representing the company related all related underwriting related to large property underwriting projects
• Extensive liaison with sales/marketing and brokers nationally
• Partner with other underwriting teams
• Regular travel to client sites
• Coordinate new and existing business and provide strategic vision for the department.

Candidate Should Possess:

• · At least 5 years+ of underwriting experience with exposure to property and large accounts
• · Undergraduate degree
• · Strong analysis skills and proven strategic initiatives exposure
• · Solid understanding of finance, financial analysis and insurance markets
• · Demonstrated ability to develop best-practice underwriting practices
• · Excellent written and communication skills
• · Ability to work under minimal supervision
• · Relevant insurance licenses as required by individual states
• · Ability to travel on a regular basis away from home.
