Vice President of Engineering

The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturing organization in Bristol, Virginia, has partnered with ML6 in their search for a VP of Engineering to join their team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing activities within the Engineering department.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Ensure the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the company.
• Actively participate in company strategy development and be responsible for supporting all functions requiring engineering interface.
• Project Management functions, as it relates to the Engineering department.
• Direct interface with customers.
• Monitor, track and report the department’s KPIs against stated goals.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and production/operational groups
• Develop short and long range plans around organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.
• Plan, organize and direct the engineering activities to support all internal and external business groups.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

• 10+ years of applicable technical and leadership experience.
• Experience with Medium Voltage Switchgears within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PEng or Masters Degrees would be considered an asset.
• Proven record in leading engineering teams and projects successfully.
