We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research and Development (R&D) Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong self-motivation drive, and comprehensive product knowledge related to manufacturing, specifically within oil field operations. Knowledge of oil and gas valves, automation, and measurement skills are essential. An engineering background or understanding is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage R&D projects from concept through to implementation.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.
Monitor project progress and adjust as needed.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing and oil field operations.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
Prepare and present project updates, reports, and technical documents to senior management and stakeholders.
Facilitate collaboration between R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize automation and measurement skills to enhance product development and testing.
Apply engineering principles and understanding to support project design and execution.
Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges.
Innovation and Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D department.
Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies.
Conduct research and analysis to support new product development and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D project management within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on oil field operations.
In-depth knowledge of oil and gas valves.
Proficiency in automation and measurement technologies.
Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel as required for project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in Project Management.
Work Environment:
This role may require occasional travel to field sites.
Ability to work in both office and field environments, as necessary.
