Director of Finance - Corporate Controller

Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance - Corporate Controller is responsible for all accounting, consolidations, tax, financial planning and analysis, and treasury within the organization. Essential duties include overseeing month end close, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit and tax filings, cash and profitability management, technical accounting and financial systems.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the company's global accounting and reporting activities, including, but not limited to: Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Reporting and Financial Systems.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of worldwide consolidated financial statements with full disclosure in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Support the identification, evaluation, design and development of efficient processes and systems utilization, concentrating on compliance, risk mitigation, cost effectiveness and best practices for the global consolidation, financial reporting and financial analytics.
  • Provide account analyses as required to provide insight into operations and monitor financial risks and opportunities, making recommendations and taking action as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development of the budget, forecast and 5-year planning process.
  • Assist CFO in global treasury requirements, including account structure, debt management and cash forecasting.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of external auditors for the company's consolidated financial statements, bank audits, and other reporting requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of tax compliance with 3rd parties.
  • Help lead financial systems implementations.
  • Lead, mentor and develop all accounting team members.
  • Assist CFO with special projects, as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Minimum 10+ years or related experience required.
  • Expertise in the application of US GAAP required.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP System preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning and consolidation systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
  • Must be self-directed and possess a high level of personal organization and drive.
  • Possess excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal.
  • Previous experience managing direct and indirect teams.
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
  • Strong financial background.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field required.
  • CPA preferred.

  • This position has supervisory responsibility.

Travel

  • Travel of up to 10% may be required for this position.
