Job Description

Overview:

The Estimating Team is responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely estimates to external and internal customers for Fry Reglet’s Engineered Products. They are a key function within the organization tasked with providing accurate and timely information to customers.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze dwgs, project specifications, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects
• Review project scope for alignment with Fry Reglet products and capabilities
• Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of our products
• Review RFQ forms for complete data and collaborate with requestors stating deficiencies when information provided is incomplete
• Prepare material and cost estimates from RFQs, customer submittal data and vendor bids to maximize project margins while maintaining competitive balance
• Serve as a resource to our customer’s when needed to facilitate a positive experience and provide timely solutions
• Manage multiple project bids at one time from vendors and contractors
• Support PM team with RFIs and change orders, including additional/revised material quotes
• Provide accurate and timely communication to key stakeholders on project progress, challenges, risks, and proactive recommendations
• Communicate with all levels of the design community including Architects and Designers to understand the design intent of a project and apply that knowledge to the application of Fry Reglet Products
• Provide customer take-offs as needed on specific projects
• Drive continuous improvement based on knowledge and experience to improve processes, communication, and the customer experience
• Engage with fellow Fry Reglet team members to promote continuous education as a Fry Reglet subject matter expert

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of prior Estimating Experience in the building products manufacturing field or construction fields required
  
  

1+ years’ experience working with estimating software i.e. Procore or Planswift.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, project documents, bids, project schedules and budgets
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are a must.
• Must be able to work individually and as a team player.
  
  

High School diploma with proven experience, or associated degree with experience

• Experience with a building products metal fabricator a plus
