My review was weirdly removed so I'm updating it again. The app has a bug which makes it unusable with a Samsung pen. If I convert handwriting to text and bring up my keyboard after to edit the text, it repeats the function and pastes the text repeatedly until the app crashes and the doc is destroyed. I've sent error logs to the devs and reproduced the bug, and it hasn't been addressed yet. As is, the app is unusable for me. Very disappointed because the handwriting recognition is very good.

Hi, Kris! Could you please provide us with the ticket number submitted to the devs (https://app-support.myscript.com) so that we can check on it? The workaround: deactivate "Suggest text corrections" of Samsung Keyboard (Settings / General Management/Samsung Keyboard settings/Suggest text corrections). We'd love to help you with this issue. The app has several glaring faults that make me really question whether I want to keep it. Especially for a paid app, these faults are surprising. Briefly, formatting is, at best, difficult. It feels like I have to trick the app to format things consistently. Also, there is also no good way to indent bullet notes. For a paid note taking app to miss this is not good. Basically, the only reason I'm even considering keeping it is because of the great handwriting recognition.

Normally, when I want to give an app a 4.5 rating, I tend to give it a 4. But not in this case. I love this app. It is my goto app for note-taking, after using a number of others that never quite fit the bill. Why do I love it? - Note-taking: I don't have the best penmanship in the world. Sometimes I even have trouble reading my own handwriting. Yet Nebo understands it almost every time. In fact, sometimes, when I review my notes, I look at the Nebo transcription to make sure I understand my handwriting correctly. - Mix of text and diagrams. Nebo provides two types of basic pages: normal and free-form. In normal mode, it interprets what you write and can export it to DOCX or PDF format. In freeform, it's like a giant drawing. No interpretation of text. However, in normal mode, you can draw a line across the screen and it inserts a freeform section, allowing you to include drawings in your page. - PDF importing, to annotate using your stylus. - Simple gestures to manipulate text. - Export to an editable (DOCX) format. Why 4.5 instead of a straight 5, then? There are a few things that could be improved. They are not showstoppers for me yet. - Better highlighting in PDFs: I would like to be able to draw clean lines instead of shaky ones. But Nebo doesn't interact directly with the PDF, I think, it overlays your annotations. - Clickable PDF links (same reason). - Better navigation on larger pages. - The ability to change languages after-the-fact. When you create a notebook, you are asked to select a language. If you choose the wrong one or if you want to change the language later, you can't. Not a show stopper, but quite irritating when that happens. If you have a tablet with a stylus, get this, you won't regret it. Yes, it's more expensive than your average Play Store app, but it is well worth it.

We're happy to hear you're enjoying Nebo – and we're grateful for your support. Thanks for letting us know what exactly you love about it. We listen to all feedback and noted your remarks. Note that you can copy text, diagrams, and math from a freeform page to a regular page (with a lasso tool), ready for conversion – but only if you want to! Mila
